Do you love a pretty view and good old-fashioned BBQ? Then RSVP now to join your TBT friends at the home of Seana & Ron Jollo in Tumalo on the Deschutes River. Summer Shabbat BBQ promises to be a beautiful riverfront service followed by lots of fun and food.
Shabbat Service at 6:00 pm and BBQ Dinner at 6:30 pm.
Our generous hosts are providing:
* BBQ Veggie burgers, beef burgers and hot dogs
* Buns and condiments
* Beer and soda
* Paper goods and plastic ware
Please bring a salad, side dish or dessert. (Sign up when you RSVP)

Let’s help set up, clean up and collect and remove trash from the yard. We are looking for three adult volunteers to arrive at 4:30 pm to bring tables down from the house and put out the food. Four or five adults needed for cleanup. (Sign up when you RSVP)
SOME IMPORTANT NOTES:
* Bring your own water and/or wine.
* Bring chairs or blankets for your family seating.
* Bring bathing suits and towels if you wish – you are responsible for supervising your kids swimming or playing in the river.
* PLEASE … take home your platters and leftover food or beverages, plus all your belongings.

We all know that Temple Beth Tikvah is a member of the Union for Reform Judaism. But what is Reform Judaism? How did the movement come into being? What is the philosophy behind Reform Judaism?
Please join other TBT members as Rabbi Hershenson introduces us to Reform Judaism 101. She will give us some of the history and philosophy of Reform Judaism while we enjoy a light brunch together. More details coming next week.
