Havdallah with a Movie: The Struma

Come watch a screening of the film The Struma. David Stollar was the sole survivor of the sinking of the refugee ship Struma. The ship was on its way from 1942 German-run Romania to Palestine when it was torpedoed by a Soviet submarine in the Black Sea. Stollar eventually moved to Bend, and died in 2014. He stars in the movie. His wife Marcia will be with us to speak and answer questions.Those attending will be asked to bring an appetizer or dessert. This event is limited to the first 35 reservations.
